Akereke is a laureate of international and national competitions and a prize-winner of many music festivals and contests.
In 2005, she successfully graduated from the Republican Specialized Music School for Gifted Children named after A.K. Zhubanov.
After completing music school, she was awarded a scholarship and admitted to the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory. She graduated with honors in the kobyz class of the Folk Music Faculty. In 2011, she entered the conservatory’s master's program in "Traditional Musical Art" and successfully earned her master's degree.
In 2006, she released a music video for the composition "Sezim" ("Feeling"), which became the first kobyz instrumental video clip in the country. She was among the first to merge traditional style with pop music using the kyl-kobyz instrument.
Her first album, titled "Koktem" (Spring), was released in 2008. Besides music, she hosted the children’s program "An Salaiyk" ("Let’s Sing") on the "Balapan" TV channel. In 1997, she also hosted a show named "Akereke" on the "Khabar" channel, which became the first children’s program in Kazakhstan.
Akereke is a recipient of a grant from the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2009, she held a solo concert titled "Mangilik Kobyz Saryny" (The Eternal Sound of Kobyz) at the Zhambyl Kazakh State Philharmonic.
In 2011, a concert with the same title was held in Turkestan. In 2013, her solo concert "Tögilip Saryn Kobyzdan..." took place at the First President’s Foundation Concert Hall.
In 2015, she again performed to a full house at the same venue with a solo concert titled "Aralap Kobyz Uni Ken Älemdi" (The Sound of the Kobyz Embraces the World).
That same year, another unique concert was held at the A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts — a musical duel between the ancient Kazakh instrument kyl-kobyz and the European cello, titled "Musical Vernissage".
In addition, she has held numerous solo concerts in various countries.
She promotes traditional instrumental music in countries such as Japan, Russia, Lithuania, Germany, Turkey, China, Korea, Tajikistan, UAE, Hungary, USA, Jordan, Spain, Moldova, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Tatarstan, Greece, France, Austria, Mexico, Argentina, and others.
