In Almaty, on the stage of Almaty Theatre, the creative concert “SERPIN” was held, dedicated to Abylai Tlepbergen — the Chief Conductor of the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy, holder of the Order of “Qurmet,” laureate of the State Youth Prize “Daryn,” and a renowned conductor and kuyshi.
As part of the concert, the tokpe kuis of Kurmangazy and the shertpe tradition of Tattimbet were presented in a new artistic interpretation. The works performed solo by Abylai Tlepbergen, as well as those accompanied by the national orchestra, made a special impression on the audience.
The finest examples of kuis included in the golden fund of national musical art, along with orchestral arrangements, were presented in an original interpretation.
