On March 4, 2026, the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding aimed at developing partnership in the fields of culture, art, and education.
The official ceremony took place in the Scientific Library of the museum. In his welcoming speech, the museum’s director Berik Abdygaliuly emphasized the importance of uniting the efforts of the country’s leading cultural and educational institutions. The Rector of the Academy, Bibigul Nusipzhanova, also delivered a speech, highlighting the importance of training a new generation of specialists who will contribute to the development of science, choreographic art, and the museum sphere.
The memorandum covers a wide range of joint activities: inviting specialists to deliver lectures and exchange professional experience; implementing educational and research projects; organizing conferences, seminars, symposia, and round-table discussions; exchanging scientific publications and educational materials; sharing research works; arranging internships for postgraduate and doctoral students; as well as holding events aimed at spiritual, moral, and patriotic education.
In addition, the parties agreed to jointly organize concert programs, small theatrical performances, exhibitions, master classes, and creative meetings at museum venues, as well as to implement scientific projects with the participation of leading scholars and industry experts.
The signing ceremony began with the choreographic performance “Nazik” presented by students of the Academy. After that, the memorandum was officially signed. The event continued with the performance “Tokym Kagar” and concluded with a commemorative group photo and a guided tour of the museum.
The signing of the document became an important step in strengthening interinstitutional cooperation and will contribute to creating new opportunities for the development of art, science, and the cultural heritage of the nation in the future.
