Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun personally announced the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra flagship smartphone by posting a teaser on social media. In the message, he confirmed that the global version of the device will be presented on March 2, 2025, as part of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. This event will be the culmination of a month of anticipation for the brand’s fans, as just a few days earlier, on February 27, the local premiere of the smartphone will take place in China, alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric vehicle. Both products are expected to be the most premium in the 15-year history of the company, highlighting Xiaomi’s ambitions to reach a new level in the high-tech device segment.
The teaser posted by Lei Jun showcases the elegant black-and-white design of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s rear panel, inspired by classic Leica cameras. The German brand’s logo, long a symbol of Xiaomi’s camera quality, proudly appears on the large camera module. Rumors suggest that the new device will feature an advanced four-lens system, including a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, making it one of the leaders in mobile photography in 2025. The device will also be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 6000mAh battery with fast-charging support.
Experts predict that the smartphone’s price in Europe could start at €1499, making it a competitor to giants like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro.
