Today, the capital hosted the official presentation of the six-volume audio collection "Asyl Mura", released by the Republican Television and Radio Corporation "Qazaqstan". The collection features the national songs and instrumental music of the Kazakh people, as well as its folklore heritage. During the event, it was announced that 1,500 audio recordings from the collection have been published on leading global music platforms.
The collection includes 400 kuis, 300 zhyrs and terme, 400 folk songs and compositions by folk composers, 100 fairy tales, 50 lullabies, and 250 retro songs preserved in the "Golden Fund". A unique feature of this audio collection is that most of the 1,500 pieces are presented in their authentic form—recorded in the original performances of the first performers.
The audio recordings have been uploaded to more than 100 leading global music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, Yandex Music, and YouTube Music, as well as on the website of the "Qazaqstan" Television and Radio Corporation – altynqor.com.
"The selection process for 'Asyl Mura' began 1.5 years ago, involving more than 50 experts. The oldest piece in the collection is the song 'Balqadisha,' recorded about a century ago by Amre Kashaubaev. Our 'Golden Fund' contains 24 versions of this piece performed by different singers. We have included the oldest original version in the collection and made it accessible to millions of listeners online. Thus, a century later, we are presenting the folk song 'Balqadisha' in a refreshed format with modern sound processing," said Board Chair Lazzat Tanisbay.
