Astana hosted the "Nauryz Ball," dedicated to the national holiday, Nauryz Meyramy.
This image-building project has been organized for the second consecutive year. The event fosters foreign interest in Kazakh culture. The traditional guests of the ball include representatives of the diplomatic corps, as well as heads of international organizations and companies. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Nauryz is a national holiday symbolizing renewal, unity, and prosperity. It presents an excellent opportunity to introduce the diplomatic corps to Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage. The evening was adorned with performances by the capital’s finest creative ensembles and artists. A major part of the program consisted of folklore and ethnic performances.
To provide a deeper immersion in the holiday, an interactive program was prepared. Diplomatic representatives learned folk songs and dances, participated in traditional games, and tasted national dishes.
The "Nauryz Ball" project aims to strengthen cultural ties and promote international cooperation in Kazakhstan. In today’s world, cultural diplomacy plays a crucial role in shaping a country’s positive image, making such events an integral part of public and state policy.
