The daughter of People’s Artist of Kazakhstan, composer, conductor and Hero of the Nation (Халық Қаһарманы) Nurgisa Tlendiyev — Dinzukhra Tlendiyeva — shared heartfelt memories of her father in an interview with Aiqyn newspaper, reports Adyrna.
“My father was a very humble man. In reality, he had immense opportunities at his disposal. But he never used them for himself — always for the sake of others,” she said.
According to her, Tlendiyev constantly showed care for those around him, especially helping fellow artists who were homeless or struggling.
“If someone in the orchestra didn’t have a place to live, he would always find a way to help. After his passing, I grew up meeting many people who told me: ‘You know, I got my apartment thanks to your father.’ I still come across such people today,” she added.
For Nurgisa Tlendiyev, material wealth never took priority. He found contentment in a simple life.
“Sometimes my mother would say, ‘What if we buy a dacha, or get this or that?’ But he would reply, ‘Dariya, we don’t need that.’ Because material things were never of real value to him,” she recalled.
