Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balaeva Requests Tax Incentives for Representatives of the Creative Industry
At present, a new Tax Code draft is under discussion.
These measures will include preferential tax rates and maintaining a specific retail tax regime.
It was also reported that tax benefits amounting to 1.3 trillion tenge are proposed to be removed from the Tax Code.
Additionally, Ms. Balaeva stated that significant efforts are being made to digitize the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
Under the Ministry’s leadership, the educational platform "Qazaq Culture" is actively operating, providing information about cultural values in eight languages.
Key initiatives include AI-powered content narration in the state language,
as well as a National Digital Knowledge Base with artificial intelligence elements, integrating the "e-Library" and "e-Archive" projects.
With the advancement of digital technology, significant contributions are being made to Kazakhstan’s documentary, audiovisual, and cinematic archives.
"The Ministry is actively working on including new cultural heritage sites of Kazakhstan in the UNESCO lists. A Working Group has been created to preserve and promote documentary heritage in UNESCO's 'Memory of the World' register, comprising scientists, archivists, archaeologists, academics, and public representatives," the minister emphasized.
This is a significant contribution to both global and Kazakh heritage.
We extend our gratitude to Aida Balaeva and the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan.
