The Astana Opera Theatre toured St. Petersburg as part of the International Dance Open Festival.
The ballet company presented Leo Delibes' Coppélia in the choreography by Roland Petit to the audience, reports Kazinform, citing the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The author's vision transformed a dark story into a comedic masterpiece, while the performance by Kazakhstani artists infused the production with a unique, authentic flavor.
"Coppélia" is a ballet where dance is inseparable from acting skills, facial expressions, and the finest nuances of emotion. The expressive set design and lighting solutions allowed the audience to focus on the delicate details.

The workshop scene left an especially strong impression: the mesmerizing play of light and shadow created barely perceptible boundaries between reality and imagination.
The audience was particularly captivated by the Astana Opera artists' ability to maintain a constant dialogue through glances and gestures.
After the performance, applause echoed for a long time, and the artists took multiple curtain calls.

On the same day, another significant event took place in St. Petersburg — the performance of Astana Opera’s leading soloist, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Adamzhan, and the vibrant soloist of the capital’s theater Anastasia Zaklinskaya at the gala concert "Andris Liepa 6:0."
The anniversary evening was held at the Great Concert Hall "Oktyabrsky" as part of the "Autographs and Images" project.
