The title role of Turandot was performed by Zhuphar Gabdullina and Bibigul Zhanuzak (both Honored Artists of Kazakhstan), who brought extraordinary emotional power to the production. Their performance became the true vocal peak of the evening — bold, powerful, filled with drama and inner conflict.
On the first night, the role of Calaf was performed by guest soloist Mikhail Pirogov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Buryatia. His rendition of the famous aria Nessun dorma earned thunderous applause. Armenian bass Sarkis Bezhbeuk-Melikyan delivered a brilliant interpretation of Timur. The performance was conducted by maestro Giuseppe Acquaviva (Italy).
On the second night, Calaf was portrayed by Medet Chotabayev, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan. The audience, clearly missing the artist, welcomed him with great warmth and joy. At the conductor's stand — the theatre’s chief conductor Alan Buribayev, who inspired the orchestra to a powerful and expressive performance.
The touching and strong character of Liu, performed by Saltanat Akhmetova and Nazym Sagyntai, deeply moved the audience. Their heartfelt vocal lines became the delicate, soulful, and unforgettable lyrical core of the entire opera.
The participation of the theatre's children's choir added special sincerity and sonic purity to the performance.
