The Head of State, speaking at the meeting of the National Kurultai in Burabay, issued a number of instructions related to the development of the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
"He paid special attention to the preservation of the country's documentary heritage. The Ministry is actively continuing its work to include new cultural heritage sites of Kazakhstan in UNESCO lists. A Working Group on the preservation and promotion of documentary heritage in the UNESCO 'Memory of the World' register has been created, including scientists, archivists, archaeologists, academic representatives, and public figures," noted Ms. Balaeva.
The meeting also discussed the importance of paying special attention to the archives of works by outstanding Kazakhstani authors and performers, the manuscripts of Abai and Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, as well as the archives of the Aral Sea.
As part of the work of the National Committee of the UNESCO 'Memory of the World' program, chaired by State Advisor Erlan Karin, a plan is being developed to create a national register, along with targeted efforts to study and expand the list of the country's documentary heritage.
The initiative aims to protect not only historical monuments but also traditions, language, music, and crafts.
The state is carrying out extensive work on preserving the cultural heritage of our country. We express our gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Information for its invaluable contribution to the history.
