On March 26, in the city of Sanremo, Italy, the famous 16th International Children's Contest, SANREMO JUNIOR, will take place, featuring young talents from 26 countries aged 6 to 15.
For Kazakhstan, this contest is unique due to the participation of the Grand Prix winner of the second national selection round of Sanremo Junior Kazakhstan.
The second national Sanremo Junior Kazakhstan competition will be held in Aktobe from February 20–22 at the concert hall of the regional G. Zhubanova Philharmonic.
A distinctive feature of the national competition Sanremo Junior Kazakhstan is that it is held in different regions of the country.
The national selection and the participation of children from Kazakhstan became possible thanks to the Astana Academy of Arts, which is the official representative of the company KISMET, organizing the Sanremo Junior contest in Italy.
The competition is also supported by the Embassy of Italy in Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the city of Aktobe.
Among the information partners are the TV channels "Jibek Joly" and "Aktobe".
The second national competition brings together 55 participants from all regions of Kazakhstan.
The jury of this year's competition includes prominent artists and educators:
- Svetlana Aitbayeva – Jury Chair, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan.
- Marat Aitimov – Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, renowned children's mentor.
- Batyrzhan Smakov – Laureate of international competitions, Knight of the Order of Stella di Italy (Italy).
- Diana Sharapova – Famous Kazakhstani pop singer, educator.
- Sara Meneghetti – Cultural Attaché of the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
The President of the competition is Aiman Mussakhajayeva, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, "Qazaqstannyn Yenbek Yeri", and professor.
For the Gala Final on February 22, the Grand Prix winner of the first national "Sanremo Junior Kazakhstan" competition and second prize winner of the world "Sanremo Junior" competition in Italy, 12-year-old singer Magzhan Mynbayev from Karaganda, has been invited.
Participating in the national selection and traveling to the competition in Italy provides young Kazakhstani performers with a unique opportunity to showcase their talent on the legendary stage of the "Ariston" Theatre, inspiring young artists.
According to the artistic director of the competition, Batyrzhan Smakov, this project has significant image value for Kazakhstan, fostering development and offering young performers the opportunity to establish themselves in the global arena.
