Pursuant to Instruction No. 26-2655 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 19 May 2026 and Order No. 350-НҚ of 20 July 2026 issued by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Minister of Culture and Information, Aida Balayeva, the State Dance Theatre of the Republic of Kazakhstan, operating under the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has been officially named in honour of the distinguished choreographer and People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Bolat Ayukhanov.
This decision represents a high recognition of Bolat Ayukhanov’s immeasurable contribution to the establishment and development of Kazakhstan’s national choreographic art and serves as a fitting tribute to the creative legacy of an outstanding figure who devoted his entire life to the service of the arts.
This historic milestone holds special significance for the theatre. Founded by Bolat Ayukhanov, the theatre will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2027. The decision to bestow the name of the Great Master upon the theatre on the eve of this landmark anniversary symbolizes the continuity of generations and will remain a defining chapter in the theatre’s history.
