The manuscript "Khans Shezhire" has been included in UNESCO's Memory of the World International Register. This was announced by State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Karin. According to him, during the fourth session of the National Kurultai, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to intensify efforts to preserve the unique documentary heritage of our country.

This unique document, dating back to the 18th century, is a scroll over three meters long. It presents a detailed genealogy of Kazakh khans and rulers, covering the period from the 6th to the 19th century. This historical artifact provides a deeper understanding of the origins of prominent figures in Kazakh history, as well as their connections with other peoples of Eurasia.

"This valuable artifact, recognized by UNESCO, demonstrates the deep roots of the rulers of the Kazakh steppes. It helps us understand the origins of historical figures and their interactions with other peoples during the period from the 6th to the 19th century," noted Karin.

Previously, other entries from Kazakhstan included in UNESCO’s International Register were the manuscripts of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the archives of the international anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semey", and archival materials related to the Aral Sea.
