Today I had a meeting with the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbayev. We exchanged views on the development of animation in Kazakhstan. Maulen Sagatkhanuly is a creative individual. He personally took part in the production of the well-known domestic film Shal.

I spoke to him about the problems in the animation industry and our future plans. We discussed the successful project by the Qazaqstan TV channel — Shokan. The Road to Kashgaria. He especially liked the idea for a new animated film about Sultan Beibars. In 2023, Maulen Sagatkhanuly represented the Republic of Kazakhstan at the 800th anniversary celebration of Sultan Beibars in Egypt and attended the reopening of a mosque restored in honor of one of the most revered rulers of Misr.
