On January 11, 2025, in Wellington, New Zealand, the General Assembly of the 47th World Conference of the International Council for Traditional Music and Dance (ICTMD) held elections for the organization's leadership and Executive Board. A historical decision by the Executive Board to introduce the new title of "ICTMD Ambassador" into the organization’s structure attracted significant attention from participants representing 70 countries at the 47th World Conference. This honorary status is awarded to prominent figures in culture and the arts who have made significant contributions to advancing the Council's goals, preserving and promoting cultural heritage, and presenting promising development plans for ICTMD on the international stage.

While introducing the candidates, ICTMD President Svanibor Pettan (Slovenia) noted:
"Under the leadership of D. Kaseinov, TURKSOY has become a strategic partner of ICTMD, supporting the organization of several important events: the 43rd World ICTMD Conference (2015, Astana); the 33rd ISME World Conference (2018, Baku), as well as international conferences, symposiums, and festivals dedicated to traditional music. D. Kaseinov's multifaceted and long-term activities aimed at fostering international cultural cooperation, supporting scientific projects, preserving the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, and promoting it in the global cultural space have significantly contributed to advancing ICTMD's goals and mission."

The candidacy of D. Kaseinov was unanimously supported by the Executive Board and conference participants. His election as ICTMD Ambassador underscores the significant role of Kazakhstan and other member countries of TURKSOY in developing international cooperation in culture and the arts.
