Kuralay Serikkhanqyzy is a prima ballerina, teacher, and inspiring leader who has devoted her entire life to art and the development of national choreography.
Education and Professional Background:
• 1985–1993 — Graduated from the Almaty Choreographic School named after A. V. Seleznev with a major in Ballet Performance;
• 1993–2023 — Leading Soloist at the Abay Kazakh National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre;
• 2001 — Graduated from the Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical Institute with a degree in Cultural and Leisure Work and Organization of Artistic Creativity, qualification — Manager and Instructor of Choreographic Disciplines;
• 2021 — Earned a Master of Arts degree in Choreographic Pedagogy from the T. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts;
• 2023–2024 — Served as Repetiteur and Ballet Instructor at the Opera and Ballet Theatre in Mersin, Turkey;
• 2024 — Senior Lecturer at the Department of Choreography and Art Management, Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University.
Creative Career:
Throughout her distinguished artistic career, Kuralay Serikkhanqyzy has been recognized as a true master of stage culture, combining refined artistic taste with deep pedagogical wisdom. Her name is closely associated with the development of Kazakh ballet and the education of a new generation of performers.
